Husband Changed His Mind About Having a Baby
After surprising listeners last year when he revealed that he and his girlfriend Tegan Kynaston were trying for a baby, Kyle Sandilands has shared an update on his journey to fatherhood.
The shock jock, who underwent fertility testing and received the 'all clear' in December, recently opened up to Sydney Confidential about why he changed his mind and now wants kids.
"When you think about it, because my mates have all got kids… young ones, and now I feel a bit left out," he said.
"At first when they were showing me videos of this kid walking, I was like, 'Who cares? Big deal'. But now I look forward to it when my godchild comes over."
The 50-year-old went on to say that his friends' young kids are "not as horrible" as he first thought, and he actually finds them "quite fun".

Speaking about why he never tried to have children in the past, Kyle admitted to the Daily Telegraph that it's "never really been on my priority list".
"I think that is just because I was that kid that dragged around my childhood issues from my parents' divorce and this and that," he continued.
Kyle has been very open about his efforts to conceive a child with Tegan after first announcing it on Kyle and Jackie O back in August.
The former Australian Idol judge said at the time that sex was different when a couple is attempting to get pregnant because it lacks passion and romance when it's scheduled.
He previously told Studio 10 that his desire to have kids only emerged recently due to the current state of the world.
"When the dust settles and you get a moment to pause like we all have during the pandemic, your priorities change," he said.
Kyle has been dating Tegan since late 2019 after spending eight years in a relationship with model Imogen Anthony, and was also previously married to singer Tamara Jaber from 2008 to 2010.
Kyle's comments come shortly after his ex-girlfriend Imogen, who recently starred on Big Brother VIP, seemingly took a dig at him and the other women he's dated.
While responding to a fan's comment about her self-worth, Imogen took to Instagram to say that she's not just another 'b***h' that the radio DJ has slept with.
"You really haven't been following me for very long," she replied. "I walked a catwalk, naked, to show women that you didn't need to base your worth on others' opinions of you.
"THAT'S how I made it on to Big Brother. Not just being with Kyle, or every b***h he had stuck himself in would be on that show. It's because my value doesn't form around your opinion. No offence, but if you're gonna be a fan, be a real fan and do your research, please."
